On September 16, the Verkhovna Rada passed the Law on Lustration, which will influence around 1 mn officials, state employees and law enforcers, informed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
Yatsenyuk has instructed to set up the committee for investigation of the acting ministers and deputy ministers of the Cabinet and also all leaders of the central executive power.
In addition, the premier has instructed the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to form a common state register of persons who will be affected by the lustration law. The heads of central executive bodies of power are to create the lustration committees in every ministry.
Yatsenyuk added that the Ministry of Justice will create the public council on lustration.
As Capital reported, on September 16, in the second reading the MPs supported the bill No. 4359a on Cleansing of Power.
