The provisional administrations introduced in banks are the funeral teams, said former member of the Ukrainian National Bank Council Vasyl Horbal at the roundtable on Hontareva's 100 Days: Achievements And Mistakes of New NBU Management.
“The introduction of provisional administrations in any bank excites all people independently of whether the bank is big or small. Everyone tries to check how the things are going in the banks. In addition, every Friday we see another bank added to the list,” explained Horbal, as Forum reported.
"Moreover, we cannot give any example showing that the provisional administration saved the bank. In fact, all provisional administrations are the funeral teams,” noted the banker.
“The functions of the Deposit Guarantee Fund include preparation of the bank for liquidation and payment of the compensations. Such approach when it is easier to bury the question than to solve the problem is not acceptable,” he explained.
