According to the internationally accepted methodology, the unemployment rate in Ukraine amounts to 10%, Director for Economic Programs at the Razumkov Center Vasyl Yurchyshyn told ForUm.

“The State Statistics Service includes into the official statistics those who are registered as unemployed, and those who attend courses. The statistics of the International Labor Organization is more exact. According to the international methods, the unemployment reached 10% in Ukraine,” said Yurchyshyn.

The statistics of the international methodology includes not only people who registered at the employment center, but those who work part-time day or who were sent on unpaid leave, or who are employed but de facto they do not work, according to Yurchyshyn.

As Capital earlier reported, according to the State Statistics Service, the unemployment reached 1.6% in Ukraine in September 2014.
