During five day suspension of the operation of the Kerch Ferry Passage the passengers and drivers have faced a lot of problems due to bad weather and started to apply unusual forms of protest. As a result, over 1,000 people became the hostages of the storm, according to Krym.Realii.
The ferry passengers had to wait for the storm to end in the hotels at their own expense, while the truck drivers – at the assembly points with portable toilets. The tension has led to the fact that angry passengers de facto took by assault the ship forcing the captain to go on a cruise.
As of October 28 morning, the freight and passenger lines of the Kerch Ferry Passage did not operate for five days due to the storm warning and over 1,000 of cars waited for loading.
