Leader of the Russian air transportation market Aeroflot has disconnected Ukrainian air ticket agencies from sale of its tickets.

A letter of the Association of Tourist Business Leaders of Ukraine with corresponding information was sent to Aeroflot General Director Vitaliy Savelyev.

In addition, the agencies cannot make any changes to already purchased tickets or cancel sale.

“The passengers scared by this information are appealing to the agencies trying to return air tickets,” reads the letter of the ATBLU. Executive Director of the association Oleh Lytvyak told Capital he did not know until which date the sales were closed. By refusing to sell, introduce changes or cancel tickets Aeroflot directly violates the contracts with the agencies, which specify that the company must warn about such changes 30 days in advance, says General Director of Avialiga Kostyantyn Serov. He believes that the ban on ticket sales will continue until the end of the holiday season, specifically January 12.

As Capital wrote earlier SBU opened a criminal case against Aeroflot for flying to Simferopol.

Aeroflot performs flights from Ukraine to Russia to the following destinations: Kyiv-Moscow, Kyiv-St. Petersburg and Odesa-Moscow.
