The Ukrainian government expects inflation in the country to amount to 26% in 2015 and is going to assign UAH 12.5 bln for benefits, compensations for tariffs increase, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.

«We anticipate inflation this year to be at 26%,» Yatseniuk said at a Cabinet meeting on Saturday.

This level of inflation would objectively reflect the hryvnia exchange rate and growth in consumer prices, he said.

«There will be changes in rates... That is why we will allocate UAH 12.5 billion for the provision of benefits and subsidies to Ukrainian citizens, low-income groups as compensation for the change in prices and tariffs,» Yatseniuk added.

According to him, the government will allocate about UAH 3 million for almost a million internally displaced people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
