SecuritiesNaftogaz and Cabinet began to repay US $1.67 bn Eurobonds
“The government and Naftogaz of Ukraine started the procedure of repayment of US $1.67 bn Eurobonds. The entire amount will be paid,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at the opening of the government’s session. The trust of foreign investors and creditors is very important for the Ukrainian government, said the premier.
“The government will continue to fulfil its internal and external obligations despite of the difficulties,” emphasized Yatsenyuk.
Earlier NBU Governor Valeriya Hontareva said that Naftogaz will not appear on the interbank foreign exchange market for the repayment of Eurobonds in the total nominal amount of US $1.6 bn, but will purchase the required currency directly from the regulator.
As Capital reported, government agreed with banks to stop speculations on the forex.
