The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will work in Kyiv from November 11 to November 25, 2014, IMF Resident Representative for Ukraine Jerome Vacher has said in a statement.

The IMF mission headed by Nikolay Gueorguiev will work in Kyiv from November 11 to November 25, he said. The mission will discuss with the authorities the current economic situation, progress under the program, and their policies to maintain macroeconomic and financial stability and revive growth, reads the statement.

"The discussion is to continue after the formation of the new government," reads the statement.

As reported earlier, the IMF technical mission is to work in Kyiv from November 4 to November 17, 2014 under an invitation of the Finance Ministry: as a part of the visit devoted to taxation of natural resources, meetings of IMF experts with specialists of Ukrainian state power agencies are scheduled.

As reported, the IMF Executive Board on April 30 approved a two-year SBA worth $16.67 billion for Ukraine. Early in May, the IMF transferred the first tranche worth about $3.2 billion. Initially, second-fourth tranches were expected to be allocated on July 25, September 25 and December 15, 2014 in the amount of nearly $1.4 billion each.

However, Ukraine received a second loan tranche from the IMF just in early September. That's why the organization decided to combine next two tranches in one and provide them by the end of 2014.
