Kremenchuk Vehicle Assembly Plant Ltd. (KrASZ, Poltava oblast), which is a part of AIS LLC group has suspended production of vehicles following a decision approved by AIS on Thursday, director of the company Mykola Chernysh.
«The system of the existing tariff norms makes vehicle import more profitable than production. That is why the AIS management approved a decision on suspending its production. The vehicles, which were earlier assembled at our plant will be imported to Ukraine,» he said.
KrASZ Ltd. in January-June 2014 increased vehicle production by 4.5 times compared with the same period 2013 — to 7,349 units.
As a result, the plant increased vehicle production by 2.7 times to 9,049 units in 2013.
