Russia permits import of Ukrainian products to Crimea until October 1

Rosselkhoznadzor (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia) has announced on its website that it was extending the term of import of Ukrainian products to the territory of unrecognized republic of Crimea until October 1. According to the statement, Rosselkhoznadzor approved this decision taking into account requests of companies and in order to avoid shortages of food products.

“Import of products subjected to control by Rosselkhoznadzor is permitted until October 1, 2014 under licenses issued by competent body of Ukraine,” reads the statement on the authority’s website. It is also specified that the imported products must be used only on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.
