FriendshipVerkhovna Rada approved Japanese loan in amount of US $98 mn
The parliament supported ratification of the agreement on allocation of a loan by Japan to Ukraine for development and economic reforms in the amount of JPY 10 bn (US $97.9 mn) between the Ukrainian and Japanese governments. 292 MPs voted in favor of the decision.
According to the agreement, yen loan will be provided for the government of Ukraine by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Loan repayment period will be 14 years after a 6-year grace period. The interest rate will amount to 0.95% per year.
The repayment period lasts for 3 years after the date of specified loan agreement coming into effect, however it can be prolonged upon the approval of the governments of both countries.
