budgetState Fiscal Service – National Budget fell short of UAH 800 mn due to the ATO
The National Budget of Ukraine fell short of UAH 800 mn (US $54.83 mn) in September due to the continuing armed conflict in Donbas, said Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service Anatoliy Makarenko.
“Due to the situation in the east of the country the budget fell short of UAH 800 mn proceeds, that is only taking into account customs proceeds, i.e. customs duties and customs fees on foreign transactions of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts companies,” he said at a press conference.
Makarenko also added that monthly shortfalls to the national budget amount to UAH 150 mn (US $ 10.28 mn) as a result of annexation of Crimea.
At that, the customs service completed indicatives of the Ministry of Finance in September, directing UAH 12.13 bn (US $830 mn) to the national budget, according to Makarenko.
