trendsVehicle manufacturing in Ukraine dropped 13 times in August
In August, 2014, 436 vehicles were produced at the car plants, which is 13 times lower than the indicators of August 2013 (5,783 units) and 21% less than in July 2014 (555 units), informed the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association UkrAutoProm.
In particular, the indicators of car production in August amounted to 189 units, which is 45% less than the July indicator and 28 times lower than the indicator in 2013. Over the reported period 153 commercial vehicles were manufactured, which is the same amount as in July, but 44% less than a year ago.
The bus manufacturers produced 94 vehicles in August and thus improved their July indicator by 59%. However it is 61% less compared with August 2013.
It is also said, that 24,816 vehicles were produced in Ukraine during January-August 2014, which is 15% less than in the same period the previous year.
The car production during this period decreased by 13% to 23,093 units, commercial vehicles – by 3% to 1,131 units and buses – by 55% to 592 units.
As Capital reported, the vehicle manufacturing decreased 9 times during the year.
