EnergyWestinghouse will supply modernized fuel to South-Ukraine NPP in December
In December 2014, American company Westinghouse will supply modernized fuel TWC-A to the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, informed first Deputy Head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU) Mykhaylo Gashev.
“On September 17, I signed three documents – positive inspection on modernized fuel from Westingshouse, expert report and permit for import of modernized fuel from Westingshouse. In December SNRIU will receive fuel and approximately in the end of December it will be loaded into the third block,” he said.
Earlier in 2000, Ukrainian Energoatom and Westinghouse have started implementation of the new project on qualification of nuclear fuel of the American company for the purpose of diversification of the sources of nuclear fuel supplies to NPPs of Ukraine.
