In September the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Ukraine increased by 1.7% or US $271.9 mn compared with August, reported the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine.
In particular, as of September 2014, the gold and forex reserves amounted to US $16.2 bn against US $15.9 bn in August.
At that, the foreign exchange reserves increased from US $14.26 bn to US $14.63 bn, while the special drawing rights decreased from US $1.68 mn to US $1.11 mn and the gold reserves decreased from US $1.67 bn to US $1.57 bn.
The reserve position in the International Monetary Fund remained at US $0.03 mn.
