As of November 3, 1,119 law enforcers of the anti-terrorist operation have been granted the combatant status, informed Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine on the Affairs of ATO Participants and Veterans Artur Derevyanko.
The corresponding decision was approved at the meeting of the interdepartmental commission for the issues of the combatant status. Overall, five meetings of the commission were held.
At that, 1,171 applications of the citizens for the combatant status were submitted to the interdepartmental commission, according to Derevyanko. The commission considered all submitted applications, and 52 were sent back for revision as the documents were drawn up incorrectly.
