WB to invest US $800 mn for repair of Kyiv-Kharkiv highway

The World Bank is planning to allocate US $800 mn for the repair of Kyiv-Kharkiv highway, informed press service of the State Road Agency UkrAvtoDor.

“This year, a high level of selection of loan funds for all projects has been achieved – over 30%, which indicates a considerable progress compared with the last year vividly showing the efficiency of cooperation with Ukraine. That is why the leadership of the World Bank in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova represented by its director Qimiao Fan showed its readiness to increase the investment portfolio in the Ukrainian economy,” informed Chief of International Cooperation at UkrAvtoDor Teresia Babych.

International Bank for Reconstruction and Development is ready to start preparation for implementation of the third infrastructural project in Ukraine, namely repair of the stretch from Poltava to Kharkiv of the M-03 Highway “Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskiy”, construction of the beltway around Reshetylivka and construction of the transport junction in the village Butenky.

International Financial Organizations are planning to allocate US $800 mn. Two joint project, which are being implemented in Ukraine, have proven to the WB the efficiency of investing into the Ukrainian economy, said Babych.
