IMF to consider allocation of the second tranche to Ukraine August 29

The board of directors of the International Monetary Fund is planning to consider allocation of the second tranche to Ukraine on August 29, informed NBU Governor Valeriya Hontareva.

The volume of the second tranche can amount to UAH $1.5 bn. The allocated funds will be spent on stabilization of the economic situation in Ukraine.

From June 24 to July 18 the IMF mission headed by Nikolay Gueorguiev worked in Kyiv. Based on the results of its work, the mission announced the intention to suggest to the IMF board allocation of the second tranche of the stand-by arrangement to Ukraine.
