Verkhovna Rada cancelled adoption of the law on business in Crimea

During the second reading the Verkhovna Rada reversed a decision on supporting the law on tax and customs control in the free trade zone in Crimea and peculiarities of economic activities on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, which was approved at the session on Tuesday.

VR Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov announced that the statements were received from the MPs that the specified law was passed with violations during the second reading, in particular, the reason was that the voting of the MPs was not individual.

In addition, Turchynov noted that there were comments of the Cabinet on the document’s text.
160 of 226 required members of parliament voted for the bill in the second reading.

After the Verkhovna Rada sent the bill to the additional second reading, 259 members of parliament voted for it.
As Capital reported, on August 12 the Verkhovna Rada approved creation of the free trade zone in Crimea.
