Naftogaz of Ukraine signed a contract on the supply of gas from Norway, the online media Apostrophe reported with reference to sources that are currently operating on the European gas market. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved signing of the contract, though it did not disclose any details.
The Norwegian multinational Statoil oil and gas concern and Naftogaz Ukrainy signed the contract during the visit of the management of Naftogaz to Norway last week, according to the source.
It is expected that gas will be supplied through the territory of Slovakia. As Capital reported, in mid-September Ukraine and Norway began holding talks on the supply of Norwegian gas.
