The damages inflicted to the road infrastructure due to the combat actions in the east of the country have reached UAH 2.2 bn (US $170 mn), reported the press service of the State Agency Of Automobile Roads Of Ukraine Ukravtodor.
Thus, as of the beginning of the current week, 30 bridges and overpasses, the total length of which is 2,708 m, and around 1,000 km of automobile roads were damaged or destroyed in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
The road workers must begin reconstruction of infrastructure of Donbas when its territories are liberated from the insurgents, said Chairman of Ukravtodor Serhiy Pidgayniy.
