hot spotAd Hoc Investigative Commission – Around 1,000 people died near Ilovaisk
Around 1,000 people died as a result of the tragedy near Ilovaisk (Donetsk oblast), informed Chairman of the VR Ad Hoc Investigative Commission Andriy Senchenko.
At that, Senchenko specified that the commission has not yet completed its work. In particular, the new requests were sent to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on August 26, the units of the Donbas, Dnipro, Svityaz, Kherson, Myrotvorets Battalions, 93rd troop and 17th brigade of the Armed Forces were surrounded near Ilovaisk.
On August 27, the fighters of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said that they completely took Ilovaisk under their control and proposed green corridor to the Ukrainian units who stayed there. However, the servicemen were killed when they tried to leave.
After these incidents the VR created the Ad Hoc Investigative Commission.
