Representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and Kyiv exchanged prisoners, as reported from the spot.
The exchange took place on the neutral territory according to 225/ 150 formula.
Earlier the SBU confirmed preliminary agreement on exchange of 225 militant prisoners and 150 Ukrainian servicemen.
More than 600 Ukrainian soldiers are held prisoners on the territory controlled by the militants, according to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
