The Ukrainian state inspectorate for ground transport safety has denied reports that Ukraine has allowed the resumption of road traffic to Crimea.

"The inspectorate informs that passenger transportation by road from Ukraine's mainland to Crimea has not resumed," the inspectorate’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.

The press service said that from December 26, 2014 the sale of tickets and passenger transportation by buses connecting Ukraine's mainland with Crimea were stopped to protect passenger safety.

Some media outlets had reported that bus trips from Ukraine's mainland to Crimea had been partially resumed.
